A Message From Gary Fladstol

Hello Family and Friends,

As many of you know, I recently had a health incident that resulted in a stent being placed one of my coronary arteries. The procedure was a complete success and I am feeling wonderful. As a result, I have decided to start riding a bicycle to help improve my health. With ecouragement from Shannon, we have both decided to ride in the 2018 Tour Davita bike ride to be held in Virginia this September. Shannon rode in the 2017 Washington version of the Tour and had a wonderful. We have decided to train and ride together in this year's event.

As a result, I have a financial obligation to raise donations for Davita's non-profit organization, Bridge of Life. I would like to thank you for your interest in sponsoring me for 2018 Tour DaVita! Your support – whether moral, financial or both – means more than you know.

Tour DaVita is so much more than a bike ride. It’s an amazing adventure and a physical challenge, but it’s also an extension of our day-to-day calling to “give life” to others.

That’s because our 2018 beneficiary is Bridge of Life (BOL), a nonprofit organization founded by DaVita, Inc. working to strengthen healthcare in underserved communities around the globe. BOL serves thousands of men, women and children through four programs: kidney care, primary care, chronic disease prevention, and kids’ camps. (You can learn more about BOL to the left.) By supporting me on this ride, your tax-deductible donation will help to strengthen healthcare in underserved communities around the globe.

If I can meet my fundraising goal by the mid-summer deadline, I’ll be on track to ride with the rest of the group from September 22-26. I’d appreciate your support – any amount will help!

Also, would you consider sending a link to this page to your friends and family? I’d like to have them on my support team, too.

Thank you for your support, I appreciate it. Gary
