My Fundraising Progress

$800 raised of $750 goal

I want to let you know that I am participating in Tour DaVita this September to help raise awareness of kidney disease. Through public education and testing programs, it’s possible to prevent or delay the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) to kidney failure and the need for dialysis.  I need your support and encouragement!

Our beneficiary for 2013 is The Kidney TRUST™, whose free, rapid-screening program has reached more than 35,000 people since it was launched in 2007. This screening identifies people who have signs of kidney impairment. This is crucial, because early stages of kidney disease often have mild symptoms which often go unnoticed.  It’s estimated that 90% of those with CKD don’t even know they have it!

Screening participants learn their screening results on site, and those showing impairment benefit from a personal education session to explain their results and any risk factors. They also receive additional materials to help them learn more, and are encouraged to seek medical follow-up as appropriate. The Kidney TRUST is the only organization in America to offer free, rapid screening for kidney health.

I am among many people across the country riding in the event and raising funds for The Kidney TRUST. I’m hoping you will be a part of my support team. Any amount you can give will make a difference.

What can you do?

Make a donation to my fundraising campaign by clicking on the “Sponsor Me Now” button. If you prefer to write a check, please let me know and I’ll send you the Tour DaVita information and form. Or, you can browse to learn more about the importance of this event and the people who will be helped by the money and awareness we will raise.

Spread the word.
DaVita’s primary goal with Tour DaVita is to raise awareness about kidney disease. You can help by spreading the word about Tour DaVita! Feel free to forward this email to your friends and family so they can learn a little about kidney disease, and so they have a chance to donate, too.

Thanks again for your support!

About Virtual Tour DaVita

Everyone is welcome to join the virtual Tour DaVita 2020. Due to COVID-19, this year’s event will look much different than those in the past. Individuals will pick an outdoor activity and create their own Moving Village with family, friends or their social distancing community.
